This is soooooooo easy to make and is a great finishing touch to your pirate girl costume. All you need is some black felt that you can get at your local fabric store or your local craft store and then a couple of shoe laces or a piece of elastic (black would be best).

First of all you need to draw on a piece of paper a shape that is your basic eye patch shape, you just have to approximate this, but it’s better to make it too big than too small, as you can easily make it smaller one once you have cut out the basic shape.

Use this piece of paper as your pattern and pin it onto a piece of black felt and cut out the patch.

Now you have your patch and all you have to do it to attach the shoelaces so you can tie it round your head. Just push one end of each of the shoelaces through the felt patch at each side of the patch and make a knot in it so that it won’t pull back through the felt when you try to put it on.

All you have to do now is to tie the ends snugly behind your head.

If you have chosen to use elastic, then just do the same as you would for the shoelaces to attach each of the ends of the elastic to the patch.

There you have it, an easy great finishing touch to your piratess Halloween costume!
